Brittney Wells
FCSS Seniors Outreach Supervisor
(Sylvan Lake)
Chair Director
This is my second term serving as a council director on the Alberta Elder Abuse Awareness Council! I had originally joined the AEAAC as it was a very interesting opportunity to be nominated for and I was always passionate about the work and the direction the council was moving. I am happy to continue to bring a rural perspective to the council for this term as well as advocate for the needs and livelihoods of older Albertans in the area which I work and live.
I have been with the Town of Sylvan Lake-FCSS department for 10+ years in the role as FCSS Seniors Outreach Supervisor. My passion is advocating the needs of older adults and ensuring that they age in place feeling supported, connected, and free of abuse. I am an advocate for those who cannot, team lead for Sylvan Lake, Benalto and Bentley Elder Abuse CCR as well as the community contact for Elder Abuse along with the RCMP for case management. I am a partner to my husband, mom of two tiny humans that complete our beautiful family and when we are not at work, you can find us outside or spending time with family and friends.
