Harm to Older Persons Evaluation (HOPE)
Facilitated by: Dr. Jennifer Storey (Professor of Psychology & Tier 1 Research Chair in IPV Responses)
Join the Alberta Elder Abuse Awareness Council (AEAAC) for a 3-day training session on the HOPE assessment tool. By the end of this course, you will be a certified user of the HOPE assessment and receive a Training Certificate upon completion!

- Gain a clear understanding of older adult mistreatment and its dynamics
- Learn step-by-step approaches to violence risk assessment and risk management
- Gain resources to help with safety planning for older adult victims
- Identify proven risk factors linked to abuse in later life
- Apply the HOPE assessment to real-world safeguarding cases
