If you are experiencing abuse or neglect, or if you suspect that an older adult is being harmed or mistreated, there is help available in the Red Deer area.

What We’re Doing in the Red Deer Area

Helping Elder Abuse Reduction (H.E.A.R.) – 403-346-6076 or Toll Free 1-877-454-2580
The mission of the H.E.A.R. program is to reduce the number of Elder Abuse incidents in Red Deer by providing a 24-Hour Seniors Abuse Resource telephone information line, answered by trained advocates, who share this concern.

The Golden Circle Senior Resource Centre is the leader in Elder Abuse Awareness in Central Alberta. The Golden Circle therefore has developed the HEAR program to provide 24-Hour services in the specific areas of Outreach, Emergency Housing, Education and Referrals through our 24-Hour Seniors Abuse Resource Line.

Elder Abuse is a part of Domestic Violence and as such we are connected to and coordinated through the Domestic Violence Coordinator and the D.R.V.I.C. (Domestic Relationship Violence Initiative Committee).
